Before animals, and in-between poetry, my professional working life has been in marketing – firstly being employed by blue chip organisations, then starting and running Midlands marketing agency Diversity for the past 17 years.

I’m a Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Marketing and am passionate about all aspects of marketing communications across many different industries. I specialise in strategic planning and brand development, often for innovation projects where the concept is still at the raw, ‘just hatched’ stage.

Although I’m involved in Diversity as a strategic consultant and majority shareholder, I passed over the Managing Director baton in February 2016 as part of the succession plan for the business. I’m still available for ad hoc consultancy projects for new and existing clients though. And not always in wellies…
